It’s a small batch, perfect to eat and enjoy fresh.



Quick Scones

Mix the ffg in a bowl:

1 1/4 cup flour

3 tsp baking powder 

1/4 cup icing sugar

Grate in 62g butter.

Using a fork, mix till combined.

Then in a separate bowl:

1 large egg (set aside about a tbls for brushing)

In a 2/3rd measuring cup, add yoghurt and fresh cream in equal parts.( Can use sour milk/ buttermilk and any leftover cream)

Lightly beat the above with a fork.

Using a fork, combine the wet and dry ingredients to make a dough.

Work with light hands.

Turn out the dough on a floured surface and flatten to 3-4 cm.

Cut.

Gather the dough, flatten, cut, brush with egg.

Bake at 220 deg C for 12-15 mins or till golden.
