Simple Naan

Lockdown Diaries:

A simple, and very tasty naan recipe using pantry ingredients, which had been shared by @recipes_by_ayesha. I had saved this ages ago. We’ve been fasting this week, and because I’ve been avoiding going out at all, I decided to bake my own. I halved the recipe and made just 3. Down to my last satchet of yeast, it’s now become gold 😂

6 cups flour

1/2 cup sugar

1 satchet yeast

2tsp salt

2heaped tbls saumph

Mix In a large bowl.



2tbls ghee

1/2cup oil1

1/2 cups warm water

1 1/2 cups warm milk

Mix the dry and wet ingredients to make a soft dough.

Leave to rest and rise about 3 hours.

Lightly breakdown and mound in to 6 rounds.

Place on a greased tray for an hour.

Brush with egg and top with khus khus.

Bake for 15-20 mins at 180 deg C
